Vidor man dies from injuries

On Monday, January 8, 2018 at 3:54 p.m., Beaumont Police responded to a major Auto-Pedestrian Crash in the 6100 block of State Hwy. 69 southbound. When officers arrived they located a male laying in the roadway. At this time, it is unclear whether he was attempting to cross State Hwy. 69 or if he was walking next to the inside lane when he was struck by a Dodge Ram pick-up. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries and later passed away. The victim has been identified as Dayton W. Greer, age 40, of Vidor. The investigation is on going, according to a press release.
