Danny Hryhorchuk

Danny Hryhorchuk, 73, of Russellville, Tennessee, passed away on September 25, 2017, due to complications related to Alzheimer’s Disease. He was under the care of hospice at Summit View Assisted Living.
Born in 1944 in Southeast Texas to Johnie Fred and Ruth Owens Hryhorchuk, Danny was the oldest of three children. He grew up in Deweyville, Texas, where much of his family lived and where he learned to love hunting, fishing and the outdoors. Always a bright student, he attended Northwestern State University and met his wife Wanda Cazaubon there. They moved together to Memphis, and Danny went on to be awarded a Juris Doctorate degree from Memphis State University. He set up a law office in Morristown, TN in 1978, and practiced there for 35 years. He enjoyed many friends and good times in East Tennessee, and was always an avid hunter and gardener. His sons, John and Bill Hryhorchuk, continued caring for him at his home from 2013 through 2016.
Danny is preceded in death by his beloved parents and younger brother, Harlon Pat Hryhorchuk. His survivors include his children, Michael, John and Bill Hryhorchuk and Sisse Parker and his grandchildren, Lily and Ivy Parker; his sister Melody Weintraub and her children, Betsy, Cole and Joe Weintraub; as well as his nieces Gabrielle Blake and Mary Armstrong and their children, Hannah and Iris Blake and Cooper and Drew Armstrong. Danny will be missed by many friends and family members.
The family will gather on Sunday, October 1 from 12 noon until 2:00 PM at Rush Funeral Home Oakdale, Louisiana with a graveside service and interment to follow at Hampton Memorial Cemetery, Elizabeth, Louisiana.
