VIDEO: Carl’s Jr robbery suspect threatens employee

Pinehurst Police Officer K. Norton responded to a reference to aggravated robbery at approximately 9:45 p.m. on Monday at Carl’s Jr. restaurant located at 228 Strickland Drive in Pinehurst.
According to employees, a black male wearing black pants and an orange hoodie approached the manager and displayed a black semi-automatic handgun. He was wearing a red bandanna over the bottom part of his face.
The suspect placed the weapon to the manager’s head, placed his arm around her throat and demanded she open the cash registers and safe, which she did.
The suspect left with an undetermined amount of cash and was seen traveling down Camellia Street into the Roselawn subdivision.
No one was injured during the robbery.
The suspect is described as a black male, 5’5” to 5’7” in height.
