Macayla passed away on July 18, 2017 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
She graduated from Parkview Baptist in Sulphur, LA. Macayla had a passion for cosmetology and all of her friends loved her doing their hair and make-up. She also spent her time rescuing dogs, and was currently working as a dog groomer in Nederland. Singing was one of her biggest dreams; she had auditioned for American Idol and The Voice. She was a member of the Bridge City Cardinal Singers, and was a very talented singer and guitar player. Macayla had a huge heart and her smile lit up a room. She liked to spend time with her friends; who all called her “Mimi”. She enjoyed going four-wheeler riding and mudding with her friends, and she was not afraid to get dirty as a matter of fact she loved it. Macayla was loving, talented, full of dreams, and made an everlasting impact on all who knew her. She will be forever in our hearts.
Macayla is preceded in death by her daddy Heath Nequent.
Left behind to cherish her memories are her mother Betty Jeannine Garbs of Vidor; father Michael Ray Vaughn of Lake Charles; grandparents Frederic and Mary Hillebrandt of Orange and Frank Garbs Jr. of Vidor; boyfriend Ira Lynn Braneff of Vidor; uncles Charles Garbs and wife Joy of White Oak, TX and Jeff Garbs of Los Angeles, CA; brothers Kayleb Garbs of Orange, Jose’ Solis and Jesus Solis both of Vidor, and Hunter Vaughn of Lake Charles; sisters Katie Vaughn of Lumberton and Briana Solis of Orange.
