Subvarsity football: WOJH results

The WOSMS Stallions finished their football season Thursday night against the Orangefield Bobcats.
The 8B team would start things off with a 22-0 win. Jasachin Harris scored on the Stallions first play from the line of scrimmage followed up with a two point conversion from Malachi St. Julien. Matthew Holmes scored next on a fumble recovery returned for a touchdown, followed by a two point conversion from Lucas Scott. The Stallions would score their final points on a rushing touchdown from St. Julien. Defense standouts were Jeremy Ruiz, Holmes and St. Julien.
The 8B team finished the season a perfect 5-0 allowing 0 points on the year. The 7th grade team would drop their first and only game of the year to a tough Bobcat team 18-20. Quarterback Jartayvon Craven connected with Jayson Zeigler for two touchdowns and Jadon Jones for one. Elijah Gales and Cameron Judge would lead the defense along with fumble recoveries from Craven and Demetrius Hunter.
The 7th grade team finished the season 6-1 and second place in district. In the final game of the night the 8A team won by a score of 13-8. Jerren Terrell connected with Patrick Mickey for the only offensive points of the game. The Stallions would get help early on by a fumble recovery returned for a touchdown by Clint Williams; Angel Ibarra was successful on the extra point.
Defensive standouts were Tyrone Brown, Demarcus Thibodeaux and Artavious Samuel with an Interception. The 8A team finished the season 6-1 and undefeated in district to claim their first district championship.
