A fire broke out at the Sunrise East Apartments in Bridge City around 1:30 a.m. Friday morning, destroying five units and damaging five others. No injuries where reported.

Roughly 24 residents of the apartments are affected as part of the fire. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Firefighters from ESD 1,3,4, Orange and West Orange responded to the fire.
