A procession of Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana residents come together Saturday at Stark Park in downtown Orange for the Explore Orange Convention And Visitors Bureau’s 23rd annual Art in the Park and the 6th Annual Car Show.
Attendees spent the day strolling through the park to find a vast variety of unique gifts from over 100 artists and market vendors like local artist Michael Foreman who is in his third year at Art in the Park or author Arlon Davis who autographed some of his titles.
Then there were the enthusiasts and collectors who marveled at the display of classic automobiles from sleek vintage models to roaring muscle cars, hot rods and custom vehicles.
Along with a wide range of activities for the kids and as the enticing aroma from various food vendors that line the streets fill the air along with live music from local artists such as Jazz musician Perry Richard or Briana Lanette.
With Art in the Park at its traditional location at Stark Park in front of the Lutcher Theater and next to the historic W.H. Stark House the annual artistic celebration brings people from all walks of life together during Orange’s time honored tradition. Whether attendees are art aficionados, automobile enthusiasts or simply looking for a fun-filled day out with the family, the experiences during a day of creativity, classic cars, live music and delicious food proves a success once again.
