17-year-old and 2 juveniles arrested in theft of Dodge Challenger

A 17-year-old and two 16-year-olds were arrested in connection with the theft of a Dodge Challenger earlier this week.

Officers with the City of Orange Police Department

Were dispatched at 6:07 p.m. Monday to the 3333 Ridgemont Drive in reference to an aggravated robbery.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim and learned that his Dodge Challenger had been taken. Officers learned that one of three male suspects pointed a handgun at the victim, demanded the keys, and was threatened to be shot., according to information from OPD.

Later in the evening, officers located the victim’s vehicle, and a short pursuit took place. Three males fled on foot with one 16-year-old juvenile being apprehended.

During the investigation, detectives were able to identify the other two subjects that were involved.

On Tuesday, detectives arrested 17-year-old Kenyounni Overstreet and another 16-year-old juvenile. All three males were arrested for aggravated robbery, a first degree felony crime.

Overstreet was booked into the Orange County Jail, and the two juveniles were brought to Minnie Rogers Juvenile Justice Center.
