A former Vidor Independent School District police officer and Orange County deputy is back in jail after revoking bond.
Ethan Majors, 23, of Vidor was arrested on a charge of violating bond on Thursday and is in the Orange County Jail. Bond has not been set as of 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
The revocation of bond likely stems from a driving while intoxicated arrest that occurred in Beaumont Dec. 23. He was arrested at 12:27 a.m. and bonded out at 11:21 a.m. the same day. Bond was set at $1,000, according to information from Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
Majors was out on bond from Orange County after a November arrest on a charge of aggravated kidnapping of a 12-year-old girl.
The child’s mother notified Vidor police that an individual picked up and brought the girl to Lake Charles Nov. 17. The child was returned to her home the same morning.
Vidor police began an investigation and notified Lake Charles law enforcement.
The Lake Charles Police Department is assisting Vidor PD in the case, according to information from LCPD.
