Football season is just around the corner. As local players prepare for the upcoming season, Bridge City coaches want to help teach the next generation of athletes.

Cardinal Summer Football Camp is scheduled from 9-11 a.m., July 29-31. Registration is open for incoming second through ninth graders and costs $50 per athlete.

Campers will be divided into age-appropriate groups to develop their football skills while having fun. The program includes daily instruction from Bridge City coaching staff for both offensive and defensive techniques. Kids will also get to interact with many of Bridge City’s varsity players who will assist with activities.

Off the field, campers can meet new Cardinals head coach Josh Smalley and tour the varsity locker room, weight room and athletics field house.

Registration is open and students can sign up on the first day of camp. Players should be ready to check in at 8:30 a.m., July 29. No football gear is required and campers should bring a bottle for water.
