Bridge City Intermediate had its first “Meet in the Middle” event.  Meet in the Middle involves typically developing students and students with intellectual disabilities to participate side by side in service learning projects, athletic training and competition, and smaller-scale independent projects. The program provides opportunities for the students to experience and develop lifelong skills ​and friendships ​that will enable them to be productive citizens. The activities provided are related to academic, fitness, sports and wellness related goal​s. It provides participants with the opportunity to develop social and communication skills that will benefit them in their everyday life, including the world of work.
