2 arrested after multiple shots fired in Orange

Two males were arrested Wednesday after reportedly firing weapons at multiple locations.
On Wednesday, officers with the City of Orange Police Department were dispatched to multiple locations within the city in response to reports of gunfire. Witnesses at various scenes reported seeing two Black males discharging firearms before fleeing the area in a gray-colored sedan.
While investigating in the 1900 block of 10th Street, officers heard additional shots coming from the southeast. As they approached the 1600 block of 16th Street, another volley of gunfire was heard. While canvassing the area, officers observed a male running while carrying what appeared to be an AK-style rifle. The suspect fled on foot and entered a vehicle, according to a news release from OPD..
Officers broadcasted the suspect description and vehicle information, and the vehicle was subsequently located and stopped. The suspect, identified as 17-year-old Terrell Bell of Orange, was taken into custody without incident.
A second suspect, 20-year-old Ki’ontae Johnson of Orange, was later found hiding beneath a residence in the 1600 block of 10th Street and was also taken into custody.
Both individuals were booked into the Orange County Jail and charged with evading Arrest or detention on foot (Class A Misdemeanor) and deadly Conduct (Third-Degree Felony).
