The Mauriceville Heritage Association announces the successful hosting of the 44th annual pageant in conjunction with the highly anticipated 2025 Crawfish Bash, scheduled to take place from May 2-3. For over four decades, the association has curated an experience not just as a pageant, but as a tradition for local young women.

The Miss Orange County Pageant unfolded with grace and elegance Sunday, March 23, at the Jefferson Theatre. This year’s event was made possible by the support of our esteemed sponsors: Westport Orange Shipyard LLC, Krazed Krafting, Studio17, Little Cypress Christian Academy, Shear Abundance, Heart and Hands Co., Carly Beth’s Floral, Merle Norman Cosmetics-Orange & Bridge City, Mary Kay by Laurie Jackson, Divine Rose Beauty Studio, Belles & Beauxs Boutique, County Commissioner Precinct 2 Chris Sowell and Precise Insurance Agency.

Under the guidance of Directors Sydney Copeland and Danielle Powell, the pageant showcased the talents of local young women. Directors Copeland and Powell expressed excitement over the crowning of Aubrie Kate Woods as this year’s Miss Orange County Queen, highlighting her potential to be a stellar representative of our program across the county. Copeland and Powell also extended gratitude to all participants, sponsors, board members and volunteers, emphasizing the remarkable support that enabled last year’s successful fundraising efforts, resulting in a $7,300 award for our Senior Miss Division. This is the largest amount of scholarship money that has been awarded for this division. This is also the first time that all contestants in the division have been awarded a scholarship.

The Mauriceville Heritage Association extends its appreciation to all participants, sponsors, volunteers, and attendees who contributed to the success of this year’s pageant.

Aubrie Kate Woods was crowned as Miss Orange County on March 23rd at the Jefferson Theatre, where she won a $3,000 scholarship. Aubrie is the daughter of Aaron and Kelli Woods. She is a sophomore at Little Cypress Mauriceville High School and plans to attend Auburn University to major in early childhood education.
