Orange County is slowly reopening after seeing over 5 inches of snow all over the area.  The National Weather Service gave its first blizzard warning to the county Tuesday morning.

The County, cities and school districts were shut down out of precaution until Thursday with most ISDs reopening Friday.

Roads became covered in snow and ice as essential workers tried to get to work. The East Roundbunch Swing Bridge in Orange was closed since Sunday as a preemptive measure but has now reopened as of Jan 23. The Rainbow Bridge remained open despite the snow.

I-10 was closed from the Texas State line to New Orleans by LaDOTD as Louisiana suffered from historic snowfall.

The City of Orange suffered from various issues including water line breaks on Mill Street and phone line outages at the city’s offices. Both issues have been resolved since.

The city of Vidor, West Orange, Orange and Bridge City have resumed regular operations as of Thursday, Jan 23. The city of Pinehurst will reopen on Monday, Jan. 27.
