A Vidor area home is a total loss following a recent house fire.

Orange County Emergency Services District No. 1 was called at approximately 5:05 a.m. July 28 to a residential structure fire in the 4000 block of Carter Road.

When crews arrived they found a double-wide manufactured home with heavy smoke and fire showing, according to information from Fire Chief Robert L. Smith.

Due to the extreme damage the home was a loss.

The owners of the home were not there at the time of the fire.

No injuries were reported.

Orange County ESD No. 2 (Bridge City), Orange County ESD No. 4 (Mauriceville) and Pinehurst fire departments assisted ESD No. 1.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
