Groves Police Department officers made the following arrests and responded to the following calls from June 19 to June 25:
June 19
- Markeylin Elam, 19, was arrested for fail to identify fugitive intent to give false information in the 3500 block of East Parkway.
- Ashton Castillo, 20, was arrested for tampering with identification numbers and unlawfully carrying a weapon in the 3500 block of East Parkway.
- Joe Doug, 56, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and evading arrest, detention using a vehicle or watercraft in the 6100 block of Mire.
June 20
- Johnny Bryant, 34, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance in the 3100 block of Boyd Avenue.
- An assault was reported in the 6300 block of Monroe.
- An information report was taken at the 6100 block of Gulfway Drive.
- An assault was reported in the 5100 block of North Street.
June 21
- An information/assault report was filed at the 6400 block of Hansen.
- Cruelty to non-livestock animals was reported in the 2200 block of Post Oak.
June 22
- Thanasekar Chellappan, 46, was arrested for public intoxication in the 6000 block of Gulfway Drive.
June 23
- A harassment was reported in the 2300 block of Post Oak.
June 24
- Cody Gregory, 33, was arrested for city code violation-possession or injection of certain prohibited substances in the 5000 block of 32nd Street.
- Injury to an elderly person SBI/mental was reported in the 6600 block of Washington.
- An assault was reported in the 2900 block of Pearl.
- Criminal mischief was reported in the 6300 block of Terrell.
* Unreasonable noise was reported in the 3600 block of Canal Avenue.
- Duty on striking an unattended vehicle was reported in the 6200 block of 39th Street.
June 25
- Criminal trespass in habitation was reported in the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive.
