Officials with Little Cypress-Mauriceville Consolidated Independent School District responded to a gun-on-campus alert Friday.

According to a release by the school, high school administrators were alerted that a student had a firearm in their vehicle.

“Police immediately responded and confiscated the firearm from the student,” an LCM release stated.

“The safety of the students and staff of LCMCISD remains our top priority, and all reports will be taken seriously.”
