EOC Reports COVID-19 Testing Completed at Beaumont Nursing Facility

BEAUMONT, Texas – The Southeast Texas Regional Emergency Operations Center and the Beaumont Emergency Operations Center reported that testing of all residents and personnel has been completed at a Beaumont-area nursing home facility.
County personnel from the six-region area, along with Beaumont Health Department representatives, arrived at the College Street Health Care Center in Beaumont on Saturday and administered COVID-19 tests on a total of 78 residents and staff. At least two residents have already tested positive for COVID-19. Test results will be expedited with results expected within 48-72 hours. The Beaumont Health Department has ordered strict quarantine of all personnel and residents until test results have been returned.
