Arlene Dorothy Vaught, 88, of Orange, Texas, passed away on January 15, 2020.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 17, 2020, at St. Maurice Catholic Church in Mauriceville, Texas. Officiating will be Father Delphin Meeks. Burial will be held at 3:00 p.m., at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Stockman, Texas.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Staten Island, New York, on February 23, 1931, she was the daughter of Henry C. Reiner and Julia (Randolph) Reiner. Arlene had been a devout and very involved member of St. Maurice Catholic Church since 1999. She was a collector of recipes who loved to cook and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry C. and Julia Reiner; her loving husband, Johnny Jackson Vaught; and her brothers, Raymond “Sonny” T. Reiner and Henry C. Reiner, Jr.
Arlene is survived by her children, Sharon Hastings, of Lufkin, John Jay Vaught and wife Kaye, of Georgetown, Ronald Vaught and wife Pam, of Orange, and Gwenn Pike and husband Ross, of Orange; 9 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; along with numerous other loving family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dustin Vaught, Brandon Sturrock, Kenny Lehaye, Nicholas Boyle, Anthony Boyle, and Drake Sturrock. Honorary pallbearers are Matthew Vaught, Chris Rasnick, and Michael Manuel.
