The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the citizen’s help in locating a missing and possible endangered elderly female. Erma Jane Gentry, 75, was last seen at her home in the 7600 block of Tulane Road in Orange around 9 p.m. Friday night.
Gentry was last seen by a family member who told deputies she has medical issues that limit her ability to get around. Gentry’s purse and cell phone were in the house, but one of Gentry’s dogs, a small brown dachshund mix, was missing.
Deputies and family members searched the home and the surrounding area and did not locate Gentry.
Gentry is described as 5-foot 6-inches, 145 pounds with shoulder length brown-ish blonde hair and green eyes. She walks with a slight forward bend so should be easily recognized if she is seen walking.
Anyone living off Tulane Road, specifically between Dorman Road Cemetery Road and Atkinson Circle is urged to check their property and check any surveillance footage anytime after 8 p.m. Friday night for any signs of Gentry.
Anyone with any information can contact the Orange County Sheriff’s Office at 409-883-2612.
