Big 2nd quarter propels Bucs past Bobcats

WINNIE — After battling state power East Chambers hard for a quarter the Orangefield Bobcats watched the Buccaneers run away from them as the Bucs notched a 84-50 District 22-3A victory Tuesday night.
The Bobcats (22-7, 5-3) were tied with the Bucs (19-2, 8-0) 22-22 at the end of the first quarter but East Chambers exploded on a 30-9 spurt in the second quarter to open the game up.
Cade Prejean led the Bobcats with 13 points. Logan Risinger, Tyrone Waggoner, Valentin Catt and Coy Bryant each scored eight points for the Bobcat attack. Waggoner led the Bobcats with 11 rebounds.
The Bobcats return home Friday when they welcome in the Warren Warriors.
