WEST ORANGE — The West Orange-Stark Mustangs evened up their District 22-4A mark Friday night by defeating the Bridge City Cardinals 69-56 in District 22-4A action at Mustang Gym.

The Mustangs (14-13, 3-3) pulled away from the Cardinals (9-13, 1-5) with a big spurt in the third quarter.

Terron Brown led the Mustangs once again as he poured in a game-high 28 points to go along with nine rebounds.

B’Jan Arvie filled up the stat sheet as he filtered in 11 points to go along with seven rebounds and five steals. Nakai Arnold had 12 points for the Mustangs while Darryl Bowens added 10.

Ethan Oceguera paced the Cardinbal attack with 14 points while Beau Martin, Grant Boudreaux and Noah McFarland scored 10 points each.

The Cardinals will host Silsbee Tuesday while the Mustangs have a bye and will visit Silsbee on Friday.
