PINEHURST — Pinehurst Fire Department is investigating the cause of a vacant structure fire.
According to Fire Chief Shon Brenham, they responded to a report of a structure fire around 5 p.m., Saturday, at the 3500 block of Martin Street.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a single vacant structure with heavy smoke coming from the attic of the structure. Firefighters quickly made entry and attacked the blaze.
The structure was vacant so authorities are investigating it as a possible arson case.
Pinehurst Fire Department was assisted by West Orange and Bridge City Fire Departments along with Pinehurst City Administrator Robbie Hood.
