William “Bill” Arthur Lovelace

William “Bill” Arthur Lovelace, age 74 of Orange, Texas, passed away in Orange, Texas on Friday, December 21, 2018. Services to honor Bill’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Dorman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tony Story officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park. Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Dorman Funeral Home.
Bill was born in Port Arthur, Texas on February 21, 1944 to Rachal Edell Rayser Lovelace and Edwin T. Lovelace III. In his early years Bill worked for his father at KOGT, as a DJ at night and was known as “The Night Rider”. Later he made his home in Houston, Texas and worked as an electrical supervisor. Bill enjoyed music, movies, fishing and spending time with family and friends. He married the love of his life on December 23, 1995, Patsy Ann Lovelace and the couple moved back to Orange in 2000. Bill and Pat had a strong love for each other and the Lord. They faithfully attended Family Worship Center and spent many evening with friends at their home having worship jam sessions. Bill was faithfully diligent in reading his bible and became an ordained minister. His family will always remember how he loved life and was always willing to love unconditionally.
He is preceded in death by his wife Patsy Ann Lovelace, parents, Edwin and Edell Lovelace and sister Tollene McClain.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, William “Billy” Lovelace, Jr. of Houston, TX and Paul Edwin Lovelace of Houston. His four legged companion, Chloe. Step-children; Wayne Cockrell and his wife Cheryl of Orangefield, TX, Donovan Weldon and his wife Bobbie of Orangefield, TX, Raymond Weldon of Mauriceville, TX, Jeff Gamble and his wife Lynn of Orangefield, TX, Vickie Lewis of Orange, TX, Janois Grizzaffi and her husband Mark of Orangefield, TX and Kaylee Ware of Orange, TX. Brother, Edwin T. Lovelace IV and his wife Debbie of Houston, TX and sisters, Susan Washington of Lake Charles, LA and Lynette Thompson of Beeville, TX. As well as fifteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
