Cardinals all set to host Cardinal Holiday Hoop Classic

- Van Wade/Orange Leader Bridge City's Grant Boudreaux (23) and the Cardinals will play hosts to the Cardinal Holiday Classic Friday and Saturday.
BRIDGE CITY – The Bridge City Cardinals will play host to the Cardinal Holiday Classic Friday and Saturday Dec. 28-29.
There will be three pools. Pool A will consist of Bridge City, Hull-Daisetta and Anahuac. Pool B will include PN-G, Orangefield and Sabine Pass. Pool C will consist of Vidor, Evadale and Tarkington.
Games at the high school gym Friday will include PN-G vs. Orangefield (9 a.m.), Bridge City vs. Hull-Daisetta (10:20 a.m.), Tarkington vs. Vidor (11:40 a.m.), Evadale vs. Tarkington (2:20 p.m.) and Hull-Daisetta vs. Anahuac (3:40 p.m.). Games at the middle school gym Friday will be Vidor vs. Evadale ( 9 a.m.), Sabine Pass vs. PN-G (11:40 a.m.), Bridge City vs. Anahuac (1 p.m.), and Orangefield vs. Sabine Pass (2:20 p.m.).

Teams will be seeded after pool play Friday for the matchups that will be on Saturday with nine games on the docket for Saturday. The championship game is slated for 3:30 p.m. at the high school.
In other tournament action the LC-M boys will compete in the Fredericksburg Tournament Thursday and Friday while the WO-S boys will be at the East Chambers Tournament Thursday through Saturday.
On the girls side, the Bridge City Lady Cardinals and the LC-M Lady Bears will venture to the East Chambers Tournament Thursday through Saturday while the Orangefield Lady Bobcats will be at the Aggieland Tournament in College Station Thursday through Saturday.
