Betty Bryant

Betty Bryant, 85, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on September 27, 2018, in Jasper.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 30, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Dale Lee. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Born in Bogue Chitto, Mississippi, on July 7, 1933, she was the daughter of Troy Leggett and Hilma Holder Leggett. Betty was a wonderful homemaker and cook, her mission in life being to feed her family and friends. She and her husband were lovingly dedicated to each other, never going anywhere without each other. She loved to spoil her dogs, often keeping every dog she took in, and adored animals of all kinds. Betty enjoyed spending time at Toledo Bend Lake, grilling burgers. She loved her family dearly and took so much joy in her grandbabies.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Troy and Hilma Leggett; loving husband, Robert “Bob” Bryant; daughter, Debra Gail Bryant; grandson, Joseph LeBlanc; brothers, Earl Leggett and Charles Bennett Leggett; and sisters, Virginia Leggett and Dorothy Spencer.

She is survived by her children, Pamela “Pam” Jean LeBlanc and husband Clarence “C.J” of Ragley, Louisiana, and Lee Bryant and wife Dana of Bridge City; grandchildren, Wade LeBlanc, and Logan Bryant and wife Carly; great-grandchildren, Casen LeBlanc and Chance LeBlanc; brother, Roger Leggett and wife Sue of Brookhaven, Mississippi; and brother-in-law, Sydney “Boo” Spencer of Hazelhurst, Mississippi; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
