Potential is not productivity

It’s been said that each of us are different. Even those who are said to be identical twins are not totally identical.

I submit to you there is at least one thing that all of us have in common, this is potential.

Potential is simply a chance or possibility that something will happen or exist in the future. An ability that someone has that can be developed to help that person become successful.

All of us possess this well talked about characteristic, but not all of us use it.

I did a self-assessment and rated different facets of my life. I found that in several areas I had more potential areas than productivity. There were several things I have planned to do. Did business plans, listed processes for implementation. But found that was all I had done.

James 2:20 (NKJV) asks a very powerful question, “But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?”

James 2:26 gives a very powerful revelation, “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”

I came to the realization that I was the symbol of the walking dead. An engine with no transmission. Potential is not productivity. I needed to do more than just plan, I needed to set things in motion. I needed to see why I was stuck in neutral with my engine (ideas) racing. I realized that I was surrounded by those who are excited about my potential with no true desire toward my productivity. Thus, I needed to simply my circle. My engine was running but the gears of my transmission was not linking up, thus no productivity.

Those who are about productivity link up with those who are about productivity. I had to take ownership of my own progression. It’s my potential, my progression, my productivity.

Yes, we have faith that we can accomplish our goals and desires, our potential. If we have not works, no evidence of productivity. Our potential is nothing but a coffin for great ideas. What might be hindering the life of your potential? Who is in your circle that is cheering your potential with no collaboration for your success?

It does not matter how simple or how luxurious the vehicle. The engine may run, no transmission, no movement. It might be time to check the transmission. Potential is not productivity.
