Cards, Bears baseballers ranked in THSB poll

Both the Bridge City Cardinals and Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears are ranked in the Class 4A Texas High School Baseball poll that was released Monday.
The Cardinals (17-7-1, 6-1), in first-place in the District 22-4A race, is ranked No. 10 in the state while the Bears (23-5, 5-2) tied for second with Orangefield in 22-4A play, is ranked No. 24.
The Cardinals will visit Hamshire-Fannett Tuesday while the Bears welcome in Silsbee.
Other Southeast Texas teams ranked include Nederland (17-6-1, 9-1), No. 18 in Class 5A. Kirbyville (17-8) No. 14 in Class 3A. Evadale (15-4) is No. 13 in Class 2A and West Sabine (13-3) is ranked No. 17.
