Nola Mae Trahan

Vinton – Nola Mae Trahan, 91, died on Sunday, August 20, 2017, at The Meadows in Orange, Texas.
She was born and raised in Franklin, Louisiana, and then raised her family in Vinton where she made her home. She enjoyed working in her yard. After retirement from DuPont, she began to travel. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters and Saint Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors include, one son Mark Trahan and wife Diana of Vinton; one daughter, Drenda Fruge and husband George of Orange, Texas; two grandchildren, Michael and Michell Trahan; five great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Woodley Trahan, and one sister, Mary Peltier.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 23, in the Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. The Rev. Carlos Garcia will officiate. Visitation will be in the Hixson Funeral Home on Tuesday evening, August 22, from 5-8 p.m. and continue on Wednesday morning from 10 a.m. until service time.
