Vidor ISD held their annual District spelling  bee on Tuesday, March 7 at Oak Forest Elementary School.  Competing were from Vidor Middle School: Michael Rodriguez, from Oak Forest: Eric Odom, from Pine Forest: Zoey Cooke, and from Vidor Elementary: Gaby Spencer.  Winner was Oak Forest fourth grade student Eric Odom. He won in the thirty-sixth round, and his winning word was “whistling.” Eric will receive a $500 scholarship upon graduation from Vidor High School in eight years.
