Lena Romero Dees, age 94, of Pleasanton, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016 in San Antonio.

She is survived by her son, Jack “Tex” Hughes Dees, Jr. and wife Susan of San Antonio, and sister, Melba Day of Livingston. Lena was also survived by her grandchildren, Kaye Randell and husband Tate, and Bo Dees. She was also surrounded by many loving great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Lena was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Hughes Dees, Sr., and parents, Walter J. and Nolie (Broussard) Romero.

Memorial services will be held at St Mary’s Catholic Church, 912 W. Cherry Avenue, Orange, Texas 77630 Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 10:00 AM. Inurnment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, 920 Jackson Avenue in Orange.
