Patsy Ann Nance Phillips

 

Patsy Ann Nance Phillips, 79, of Orange, Texas, passed away on December 4, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 7, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Jay Thomas, of McArthur Heights Baptist Church. Burial will follow the service at Jett Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will be preceding the service beginning at 12:00 p.m.

Born in Orange, Texas, on February 13, 1938, she was the daughter of Andrew Thomas Nance and Elbie Shepherd Nance. Patsy graduated from Lutcher Stark High School in 1956 and served as the class coordinator. She was a member of Eastern Star #214 as well as Daughters of the American Revolution. Patsy spent time making doll clothes and loved working with the Salvation Army during the holiday season. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Elbie Nance; daughter, Sunny B. Phillips Greenwood; and her brothers, Andrew T. Nance, and Eugene L. Nance.

Patsy is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Robert Phillips; daughter, DeDe Ann Phillips Reeves and husband Dennie, of Orange; grandchildren, Teresha Caswell, Robert Reeves, Cody Greenwood, and Christopher Greenwood; and her great-grandchildren, Sean Caswell, Luc Caswell, and Zander Cole.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dennie Reeves, Robert Reeves, Christopher Greenwood, Nathan Caswell, Eugene Nance, and John Nance.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice.
