Shangri-La Gardens Invites Community to Let-it Stroll Christmas

Shangri-La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center is hosting its Let it Stroll events starting Dec 3-21, free for the community.

Let It Stroll will transform Shangri-La Gardens into a landscape of thousands of holiday lights and displays along with Christmas Trees decorated by the community.

During the holiday season, the gardens will be host to three weekly themes for the people to participate in while they stroll through the garden.

Crazy Christmas Hat Week – December 3-7

Family Holiday P.J. Week – December 10-14

Ugly Christmas Sweater Week – December 17-2

The Garden will also host senior, mobility friendly and sensory sensitivity hours every day the park is open from 5-6 p.m. This time slot will feature no music, flashing lights and smaller crowds for the mobility-challenged and sensory-sensitive members of the community.

Shangri-La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center partners with multiple local organizations during this season.

“It’s a magical time to see the garden. Christmas Strolls are a way to create special holiday moments with friends and family.,” said Angie Mason, Shangri-La Executive Director.

Orange Christian Services will be collecting food donations all throughout Dec in partnership with the garden to help feed families in need.

The Orange Lions Club will be selling hot chocolate and cookies to feed visitors. Funds raised from last year’s sales helped fund a lion-themed water fountain in the garden.
