Marie Ceraso Sichko
SICHKO, Marie Ceraso. Age 88, of Orange, Texas died peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 with her daughter Thereze, son Jim, and beloved dog, Noel at her side. She was born on the Feast of the Assumption, August 15, 1928, in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1951. In 1971 she moved to Orange, Texas with her husband and their family. She became a member of both St. Mary’s and St. Francis Catholic Church. She was a very devout Roman Catholic, a music teacher, a dog lover, a wonderful cook, and the mother of five children. Always cheerful with a quick smile, ready to pray for anyone who needed her intercessions, and never forgetting a grandchild’s or a great grandchild’s birthday. Preceded in death by her late husband, William J. Sichko, Sr. She was the mother of: William J. Sichko, Jr., married to Sherre, of Scottsdale, Arizona; Marifrances Kiebler, married to Daniel, of Apollo, Pennsylvania; Samuel. C. Sichko, married to Medb, of Boston, Massachusetts; Thereze A. Sichko, affianced to Steve Betz, of Orange, Texas; Reverend James W. Sichko of Richmond, Kentucky. She was the grandmother of: Brian W. Sichko, married to Amanda, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Steven A. Sichko of Kansas City, Kansas; Sylvia S. Sichko of Phoenix, Arizona; Matthew P. Kiebler, married to Meghan, of Vandergrift, Pennsylvania; Aaron Kiebler of Apollo, Pennsylvania; Demetri Sichko of Alexandria, Virginia; Stassja Sichko of Los Angeles, California. She was the great grandmother of: Austin Kiebler of Vandergrift, Pennsylvania and Liam Sichko of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Visitation time, rosary recitation, and Funeral Liturgy will all be at ST MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 912 W CHERRY ST, ORANGE, TX 77630 on Saturday, February 4th, 2017. Public visitation will be from 9 am—10:30 am; The Recitation of the Rosary will follow from 10:30 am to 10:45 am by Bishop John Stowe, OMF,conv., Bishop of Lexington. The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11 am with her son, Rev. Jim Sichko, Presiding and Rev. Joseph Daleo, assisting. At 12:15 pm all will process to St. Mary Catholic Cemetery for the interment. Lunch will follow at the St. Francis San Damiano Center, catered by Seafood Palace of Lake Charles, LA.
