Jessie Gerald Doyle

Jessie Gerald Doyle, 94, of Orange, passed away on July 15, 2017.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Chaplain Mike Anderson. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Cleveland, Mississippi, on February 26, 1923, he was the son of Jesse Marror Doyle and Bertha (Tindle) Doyle. Jessie was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in all theatres during WWII. He retired from DuPont as an instrument technician after many years. He enjoyed gardening and loved his dog CoCo. He passed away at Golden Years Assisted Living and was formerly of Mauriceville. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Golden Year’s for their outstanding care.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Taletha “Tereasa” Doyle; his wife of 20 years, Mildred Reed Doyle; his daughter, Taletha Ann Faist; his son, Timothy Doyle; his granddaughter, Terry Burleigh; his sisters, Hazel Kendricks and Maxine Harrison; and his brother, Curtis Doyle.

He is survived by his children, Jesse Michael Doyle and his wife Ellen of Brownwood and Shelia Darlene Burleigh and husband Gerald of Orange; his grandchildren, Cindy Roberto, Teresa Allbaugh, George Faist, Robin Doyle, Michielyn Christmas, Shane Burleigh and his wife Tammy Alexander, and Eric Burleigh and his wife Dawn; his 17 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Shirlene DeVrient and husband Maurice.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to charity of choice.
