Homer C. Hoffman, Jr.

Homer C. Hoffman, Jr., age 74 of Call, Texas passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017 in Beaumont, Texas. Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Dorman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor K. Ray McDowell officiating. Interment will follow at Trout Creek Cemetery in Call, Texas. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Dorman Funeral Home.

Homer was born in Houston, Texas to Stella Bustinza Hoffman and Homer Cecil Hoffman, Sr. Homer served in the United States Air Force as an Airman. He was a member of the Local 125 Ironworkers Union and repaired appliances at The Appliance Store that he owned. Homer also had the gift to build and enjoyed building houses. He also loved to fish and most of all he loved spending time with all of his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters; Lorraine Bankston, Lucy Jones and Bea Bushnell.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Donna Peveto Hoffman, son Homer C. Hoffman, III of Houston, TX, and daughters; Stacey Barbain of Old Salem, TX, Shelly Moore and her husband Greg of Old Salem, TX, Julie Smith and her husband Kirk of Orange, TX, Suzy Wimberley and her husband Jim of Orange, TX and Lisa Francis and her husband Marc of Orange, TX. Thirteen grandchildren; Dillon Smith, Karaline Wimberley, Kelsey Smith, Josh Moore, Jeremy Wimberley, Kirk Smith, Haliegh Moore, Jilliann Bland, Crystal Hoffman, Ashley Hoffman, Malarie Moore, Dalton Wimberley and Grace Wimberley. Four great grandchildren; Caiden Doty, McKensie Doty, Elliott Bland and Nathan Bland. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Dillon Smith, Kirk Smith, Jr., Jeremy Wimberley, Dalton Wimberley, Joshua Moore and Greg Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Wimberley, Kirk Smith and Marc Francis.
