Revel Thomas Brown, Jr

SULPHUR – Revel Thomas Brown, Jr., passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 in a local hospital surrounded by his brother and children while telling old stories.
Revel has been a resident of Sulphur for more than twenty years after moving from Orange, Texas. He worked as an Industrial Supervisor for the Structural Group Inc. He enjoyed building and making things out of wood for his family. Revel loved rock-n-roll music, and played a guitar in a band since he was a young man. He enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle. He was a wonderful and loving father, grandfather, and brother who will be missed greatly.

He was preceded in death by his wife of thirty-one years, Darlene Brown, his mother, Thelma Brown, and a brother, James Brown.

Survivors include his father, Revel Brown, Sr.; daughter, Darla Davis and husband, Waylon; son, Revel Brown III and wife, Lily; daughter, Monica Suarez and husband, Josh; brother, Robert Brown and wife, Billie; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Davis, Kinsley Davis, Adalynn Davis, Bayleigh Suarez, and Lucy Suarez; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 3, 2016 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be led by Celebrant Jody Barrilleaux. Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss. Visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, and 10-11 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
