Dorothy “Mawmaw Dot” Jean Stidivent

Mawmaw Dot, 79 of Vidor died Monday, February 12th, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. A native of Eunice, LA, she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Mawmaw Dot was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor and the Ladies Auxiliary for Vidor Volunteer Fire Department. She was a homemaker and a wonderful cook. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm and a rosary at 7:00 pm Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Oak Grove Bible Baptist Church in Hornbeck, Louisiana. Mawmaw Dot was preceded in death by her daughter Catherine Jane Williams and father Isaac Brown Sr.. She is survived by her husband of 61 years Huey Stidivent of Vidor, TX, son Stephen Stidivent and his wife Paula of Vidor, TX, daughter Julie McDaniel and her husband James of Sour Lake, TX, brother Isaac Brown Jr. of Sunset, LA, sister Barbara Pousson of Mamou, LA, 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
