Doris Mary Hebert Denmon

Doris Mary Hebert Denmon, age 89 of Orange, TX passed away peacefully on August 25, 2016 in Lake Jackson, TX.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2016, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Father Joseph Daleo, of St. Mary Catholic Church in Orange. Entombment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.

Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. with a Rosary at 9:30 a.m.

Doris was born on July 22, 1927 in Orange, TX to Clama and Celestine Hebert. She married James Hardy Denmon in 1947 until his death in 2005.

Doris loved her family and was a lifetime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was a Gray Lady at Orange Memorial, as well as a Campfire Girl and Bluebird leader. Doris was an avid gardener, and an excellent cook and seamstress. She loved shopping and traveling with her husband throughout North America and Europe.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, James; siblings, Ruby Ballard, Bruno Hebert and Harris Hebert.

Doris is survived by her children, Becky Rogers, Marilyn and husband, Bryce Matthews, Ramona Denmon, James Gary Denmon and wife, Mary Ellen, David Denmon and wife, Penny;  granddaughter, Lynn Rogers and April Plata-Rogers; grandson, James Ryan Denmon; and two great grandchildren, Noah Clark Rogers and Ella James Denmon. She is also survived by her brother, A.C. Hebert and wife, Jane, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be David Denmon, James Gary Denmon, Bryce Matthews, James Ryan Denmon, Gerald Sanders, Bubba Collier, and Noah Rogers. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Denmon, Bobby Murphy, Ray Caillier, and Joe Rogers.

The family would like to extend gratitude to the entire staff of Elmcroft Assisted Living and Ann Nesbitt of Amed Hospice and her staff for the loving care and support for Doris and her family for making her passage a peaceful and comfortable experience.
