Showdown on the Sabine is fun for all

Day 1 of the 9th annual “Showdown on the Sabine” Tunnel Boat Races is complete, but there is still an opportunity to see the racing and enjoy the fun.

Day 2 of the “Showdown on the Sabine” Tunnel Boat Races continues from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 20, at the City of Orange Boat Ramp, which is located off Simmons Drive near the end of Green Avenue in Orange. Admission to the event is free for everyone and parking is free as well.

There are three classifications of boats roaring around the course at phenomenal speeds, as well as several children’s activities such as a climbing wall, bounce houses, games and more. (Some activities may include a fee.)

Vendors offering a variety of liquid refreshments are available for purchase, as well as several tasty food dishes. A handful of arts and crafts vendors have wares for purchase too.

Guests are encouraged to bring chairs, canopies or blankets. Coolers and pets are not allowed. Visit www.orangetexas.org for more information.
