Blanch Snell

Blanch Snell, 88, of Magnolia, Texas, passed away on March 25, 2018, after an extended illness. She was a long time resident of Orange, TX while calling Magnolia home for the last eight years.

Born in Benson, LA, on June 8, 1929, she was the daughter of Martin and Catherine Santos. Blanch was a homemaker and an avid gardener. She enjoyed nothing more than sharing her vegetables and canned goods with family, friends, and neighbors. A sports enthusiast, she rarely missed a Cowboys, Patriots, Packers or Texans games. However, her favorite team of all was the Lockhart Lady Lions softball team coached by her granddaughter. Blanch was always quick to lend a helping hand or an attentive ear to anyone in need. She will be deeply missed by all of those who came to know and love her.

She was preceded in death by her husband James E. Snell, her parents, Martin and Catherine Santos along with brothers Leslie Santos and Willis Santos.

She is survived by her son Kenneth L. Snell and wife Becky of Orange, TX, daughter Pamela Snell Mays and husband Laurence of Magnolia, TX and granddaughter, Katy Snell of Kyle, TX.

A private family service will be held at Mitchell Cemetery in Anacoco, Louisiana.
