Woman hands officer ‘crack’ pipe as she is being arrested

A woman told an Orange police officer, “Here. Take my crack pipe.” 

Amberly OConnor was being placed in handcuffs, on Wednesday, for a warrant for theft when she handed the drug paraphernalia to the officer.

An officer saw OConnor walking on the sidewalk on Bob Hall Road when he a warrant check through dispatch. 

When she was told she was going to be put in handcuffs, OConnor reached into her front pocket of her jeans and removed the glass pipe.

While waiting for a teletype confirmation of the warrant, OConnor headbutted the partition in the patrol vehicle resulting in a cut on her forehead according to the police report.

Acadian Ambulance was called to the scene but OConnor refused medical attention. She was then transported to jail.

She was issued a field citation for possession of drug paraphernalia. 

The glass pipe was placed in a biohazard bag and placed into evidence.
