The City of Vidor Police Department responded to the following calls from July 17 – July 23, 2019:

 

Wednesday, July 17

  • Theft at the 200 block of Weatherford Street
  • Suspicious activity at the 300 block of Oakland Road
  • Reckless driver on State Hwy. 12
  • Stolen vehicle at the 300 block of East Bolivar Street
  • Threat at the 500 block of East Courtland Street
  • Suspicious person near Mill and Parker
  • Suspicious person on Church near feeder
  • Suspicious person on Beach Street

 

Thursday, July 18

  • Suspicious activity at the 1100 block of Orange Street
  • Disturbance at the 200 block of Carla Street
  • Disturbance at the 1500 block of Dogwood Drive
  • Disturbance at the 800 block of Springdale Street. One female was taken into custody for failure to ID, arrested for violating a protective order
  • Welfare check at McDonald’s. A female was sitting outside, slumped over. She was taken into custody for warrants totaling $70,000. 
  • Theft at the 200 block of Old 90
  • Suspicious activity on North Archie. 
  • Fireworks at the 1400 block of Windwood Street
  • Burglary at the 400 block of South Tannahill Street. 
  • Suspicious activity at the 2300 block of North Main. A person reported hearing three gunshots. Bullet holes were found in a vehicle.
  • Panhandling at Walmart. 

 

Friday, July 19

  • Suspicious activity at the 100 block of University
  • Disturbance near Mansfield and South Main
  • Disturbance at the 300 block of South Tannahill Street
  • Assault at the 300 block of South Tannahill Street
  • Narcotics at the 400 block of Concord Street. 
  • Suspicious person at the 300 block of Butler Road
  • Panhandling at Brookshire Brothers Pharmacy
  • Threat at Joe Hopkins Memorial Park
  • Burglary at the 19000 block of Interstate 10
  • Disturbance at the 200 block of Weatherford Street
  • Animal call at the 500 block of Dewitt Street. A dog was reported to be in the person’s chicken coop. The dog had been there before and killed the person’s chickens.
  • Stolen vehicle at the 800 block of Springdale Street
  • Theft at the 100 block of North Dewitt Street
  • Narcotics near North Main and Garland 
  • Animal call at the 1100 block of North Main Street. A racoon was in the stairwell and would not move. 

 

Saturday, July 20

  • Disturbance at the 20500 block of Interstate 10
  • Suspicious vehicle at the 1500 block of Orange Street
  • Suspicious person at the 1000 block of St. Charles Street
  • Unusual circumstances at McDonald’s. A female was reported to have pulled her pants down and urinated on the sidewalk.
  • Suspicious person at Chevron Station. A male was reported for panhandling.
  • Trespassing at the 290 block of Weatherford Street
  • Narcotics at the 400 block of Concord Street
  • Animal cruelty at the Vidor Flea Market. A dog was left inside a vehicle for an hour.
  • Burglary at the 1100 block of North Tannahill Street
  • Disturbance at the 200 block of Weatherford Street
  • Trespassing at the 800 block of Orange Street
  • Suspicious person at the 100 block of Alamo Street
  • Disturbance at the 300 block of Argent Street

 

Sunday, July 21

  • Assault on Mill Street
  • Criminal mischief at the 300 block of South Denver Street
  • Traffic collision at the 500 block of Orange Street
  • Theft at Dollar General
  • Suspicious vehicle near Ferndale Street and Safer Lane
  • Fireworks on Hillside Drive

 

Monday, July 22

  • Disturbance at the 600 block of Park Street
  • Theft at the 600 block of Springdale Street
  • Trespassing at the 600 block of Park Street
  • Traffic stop near Park and Nash. One male was transported to Orange County Jail.
  • Harassment at the 400 block of North Main Street
  • Traffic collision on Interstate 10 westbound near Shipley’s and Market Basket.
  • Suspicious activity at the 300 block of Lynwood Street
  • Trespassing at the 600 block of Park Street

 

Tuesday, July 23

  • Suspicious person near Tannahill and West Railroad
  • Traffic collision near Alamo and Bowie
  • Suspicious vehicle on Alamo Street
  • Disturbance at Burger King. One female was transported to Orange county Jail for outstanding warrants.
  • Burglary at the 19000 block of Interstate 10
