FANNETT — The Bridge City Lady Cardinals pounded the Hamshire-Fannett Lady Longhrons 20-8 in District 22-4A action at Lady Longhorn Field Friday night.

Aleah McClanahan was 3-for-4 at the plate with a triple and four runs batted in. Natilee Reed and Kaylyn Dosch were also both 3-for-4 with Reed driving in two runs and Dorsch one.

Leah Jeffrey was 1-for-3 with three RBI. Kyndall Harrison was 1-for-4 with two RBI. Ashley Gerrald went 1-for-4 with a RBI. Caitlin Denison was 1-for-3 with a RBI. Courtney Ball was 1-for-2 with a RBI and Abby Anderson went 2-for-2.

Reed started on the mound for the Lady Cardinals, now 2-0 in district. She worked 2 2/3 innings, striking out four. Madyson Melton came in during the third inning to get the save while allowing just two hits.

The Lady Cardinals will visit Silsbee Monday.
