Krewe de Ville Pont’s Kevin and Alyson Smith were named Mardi Gras King and Queen during the Krewe of Krewe’s Mardi Gras Ball on Saturday. Mardi Gras celebrations will kick off at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22 with the Mardi Gras Motor Parade followed by a free concert at 7:30 p.m. featuring Keith Frank and the Soileau Zydeco Band at the Riverfront Pavilion in downtown Orange.
