Press Release — Hope everyone is having a good MLK Day. Mighty cold in Newton County this morning, frost everywhere and 28 degrees at my house this morning.

Two vehicles stolen out of Jasper County on Friday. We recovered one over here in Burkeville. They left hat one and stole another one in Burkeville. They abandoned it along with the other one stolen from Jasper County in Polk County. They then stole a Red Peterbilt while in Polk County. No telling where it went. Who knows what that was all about.

Us and Jasper County ran a warrant on a house in the Sheppard Road area. One arrested on a parole warrant. Little bit of dope and a pistol recovered.

Received a fire alarm from ADT Security. Everyone rolled that way. The owner was frying pork chops and it got a bit smoky. Fried pork chops sound so good.
