Hunter Education Safety Class
Texas Parks & Wildlife Hunter Education Enhanced Safety Course 4 hr. Field Part will be taught
Sunday, Nov 11 from 1 p.m. till 5 p.m. at Orangefield Ag Shop. You must complete the
FREE Hunter Ed On-Line Home Study computer sections, print completed tests and bring
them to class. Last class for this year. You must register on TPWD web site. Call Danny Odom
at 409-882-4298 for any questions.
This class is not for just hunters but, anyone who handles firearms can benefit from it.
OC Historical Society
The Orange County Historical Society will have its last program of the year at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6 in the Orange Train Depot. David Frenzel, the City of Orange fire Chief, will give a slide presentation on the history of the Orange Fire Department. Light refreshments will be served. Admission is free and the public is invited.
Fall Fling at the Nazz
Lost and Found Student Ministries is hosting Fall Fling at the Nazz, an 18-hole Disc Golf Tournament at Orange First Church of the Nazarene, 3810 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Orange. Check-in is from 8 a.m. – 9 a.m. with a Players Meeting at 9 a.m. Tee Off time is at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018. The 18-Holes Double Tournament is open to all. Fees are $40 for Advanced Division and $20 for Novice Division. Fun for the whole family as there will be a bouncy house, a Kids Fun Zone, Corn Hole, games and concessions. Thanksgiving is right around the corner and we are collecting food for our Thanksgiving baskets! Please see items needed below! Please drop off at our location 200 W Roundbunch Road in Bridge City on Monday and Wednesday from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Total Care is partnering up with us to make drop-offs easier for you!!!! Drop off time at Total Care is 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday
9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday!

Planting Asparagus, Composting, and Recycling Class
The Orange County Master Gardeners Assn. in conjunction with the Field of Plenty will be presenting a fall program on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at the Field of Plenty on Wickard St behind Orange Christian Services on planting asparagus, composting and recycling. Dot Chauvin will present a slide presentation on her book “Asparagus Tips”. The Master Gardeners will explain how to “Compost it-Don’t Bag It” and the Trashy Ladies will go over recycling in Orange County. The cost is $20, which includes an autographed copy of Mrs. Chauvin’s book and 2 raffle chances for a composter. Payment will be collected the day of the event at the Field of Plenty gate. Intro to Beekeeping class
The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office in conjunction with the Orange Apiary Committee is having an Intro to Beekeeping class on December 8, 2018, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Check-in will be at 8:30 a.m. This is a free class and will cover the topics of Equipment, Personal Protective Gear, Honey & Hive Production, and Source for Bees. Snacks will be provided. This will be held at the Orange County Convention and Expo Center at 11475 FM 1442, Orange, TX. Please RSVP by November 21, by calling the Extension Office at 409-882-7010.
Haunted School
Deweyville Project Safe Graduation 2019 is hosting Haunted School at 272 Spur Street in Deweyville from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Oct. 31. Entry fee is $5.
GOALS
The Greater Orange Area Literacy Services (GOALS) is now offering Reading, English as a Second Language (ESL), and Graduate High School Education (GED) tutoring to all adults 16 and older at no cost. Volunteer tutors are willing to meet once or twice a week at various locations.

Hand Quilting Demonstration
