Vidor Independent School District will host Arts Afternoon on Tuesday, May 22, from 3:30 -5:30 at Pine Forest Elementary, 2450 North Main in Vidor.
The event, which has been held each Spring for a number of years, features the art work of Vidor students. In addition, students from the Pine Forest Elementary, Vidor Junior High, and Vidor High School choirs will perform, as will VHS band students and members of the award-winning VHS Pirate Players. The students will perform solos and pieces from the contests they attended this year, and some just for fun.
The event has been moved from its usual spot at the Vidor ISD Administrative Annex because it grew so large that it outgrew the space.
“We are happy to have the event hosted by Pine Forest Elementary this year. Principal Mr. Preston Clark graciously stepped in and offered his library and cafeteria for the event, and there will also be art displayed in the hallway. It’s really going to be a lovely event,” said Sally Andrews, Coordinator of Community Relations for Vidor ISD.
The event is open to the public, and folks are encouraged to attend.
Refreshments will be served.
