Hit and run wreck sends man to hospital

A husband told his wife he was going to Dairy Queen to get their dinner Tuesday night, had to notify his wife that he was in route to the emergency room instead.
Orange Police responded to a report of a wreck, around 7:45 p.m., on Tuesday, at the intersection of Strickland and Camellia.
Upon officers arrival, they made contact with witnesses on scene who advised the officers that a male driver of a black Pontiac G6 was traveling Southbound on Strickland Drive and ran a red light hitting a elderly gentleman as he was leaving Dairy Queen in his Toyota Tacoma.
The driver of the black Pontiac G6 left the scene on foot running southbound down Strickland Drive according to witnesses.
The driver of the Toyota Tacoma was assessed on scene by Acadian Ambulance and transported to the hospital in an unknown condition.
The case remains under investigation by the Orange Police Department and they possibly have a suspect identified.
