‘Come Hell or High Water’ Harvey Relief Street Party

On Saturday, Oct. 21 from 5 p.m.-9 p.m., the Orange Train Depot Grounds will come alive with the sounds of the popular local group, Uncle Mike’s Garage Band, featured from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. during this free county-wide event Benefitting Harvey flood victims.
The band specializes in country, 60s and 70s music. Band member Mike Magnuson has a new “Harvey Song” they will perform.
Organizers are encouraging everyone to bring their family and wear your dancing shoes, for the entire street in front of the depot will be reserved for dancing.
Food vendors will be on site and there will be guided tours of the depot and a special gratitude wall will be available where flood victims can express their thanks to first responders, friends and neighbors who stepped up to help after Hurricane Harvey moved on.
Local stylists will be on hand giving free haircuts.
Following the Garage Band, the Christina Wells Band from Houston will take the stage for more dancing music from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. and the introduction of a newly composed “Come Hell or High Water” song by Christina. She will have CDs of the song available and 50 percent of the proceeds will go to the United Way for Harvey victims.
Also for sale will be a limited edition “Orange Strong” mug, proceeds of which will also be donated to the United Way.
Sponsors of the event are the Friends of the Orange Depot, What’s Happening in Orange County, the City of Orange Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the United Way of Orange County.
No coolers or pets will be allowed.
